PGA Tour Champions Announce Three-Year Extension For Dick’s Sporting Goods Open

The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open has been extended for three years and will last at En-Joie Golf Club until at least 2024, PGA Tour Champions and Dick’s Sporting Goods jointly announced.

“We are excited to announce the three-year extension and continue our incredible partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods,” said Miller Brady, President of the PGA Tour Champions. “Broome County has been an exceptional host to professional golf for half a century, and at this year’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Open we are excited to celebrate the historic run of the tournament at En-Joie Golf Club. This tournament is a constant player favorite because of the great fan support and warm welcome from the community. I am confident that it will continue to be a first class event on the annual PGA Tour Champions calendar. “

Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is operated by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. (BCCC) and has donated over $ 18 million to the charity. BCCC has sponsored professional golf in Central New York for over 43 years. Founded in 1973, Broome Charities’ original mission focused on funding the 501 (c) (3) health-related organizations to serve the largest number of people in their community. Both the UHS Foundation and the Lourdes Hospital Foundation were primary recipients of annual donations from Broome County Community Charities, Inc. These donations are the result of partnerships with Dick’s Sporting Goods, the PGA Tour players and the PGA Tour Champions.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has deep roots in Binghamton and upstate New York. Dick’s opened its first store in Binghamton in 1948. The company also opened its 500th store, newest distribution center and brand new House of Sport concept in New York.

“No matter how much we grow, Binghamton is at home and we are excited to continue this partnership with PGA Tour Champions and bring this event to Broome County,” said Ed Stack, Dick’s Sporting Goods Executive Chairman. “This is always a great opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate what is special about the area and enjoy the exciting and dynamic game of golf. We look forward to this year’s tournament and welcome the players and the community back to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in the years to come. “
