PGA DFS Showdown Picks: Wyndham Championship Round 4

Previous lap summary

With just seven shots separating second place from last place, there were certainly big moves that day. Adam Scott would be the first big mover as he looked very solid in pretty much every facet of his game all day. A couple of goofy bogeys away from idiosyncratic drives, including the 15th hole which is one of the easiest to play. Scott could have had 62 today without much having changed. He’d have the best score of the day, along with Branden Grace & Roger Sloan. It’s a big day for Sloan, who ranks 131st in the FedEx Cup standings on Sunday and has to stay in the top 10 to continue next week.

Russell Henleys The fights on Saturday continue as he just couldn’t start today and gets caught in a distant storm in the last part of his lap. He started the day four strokes ahead and is now leading by three. But there are now nine golfers within four strokes compared to only three yesterday.

Celebrities

Kevin Well stays with this event and is one of nine golfers to start the day four ahead. Scott Piercy & Rory Sabbatini give each other the chance to qualify for the playoffs, both are tied for third place. For Sabbatini, he can’t afford to drop out of the top 5 while Piercy was at 126 earlier in the week. Justin Rose is in the mix too, but it looks like he’ll need Sabbatini to fall or improve his tied ninth place to make the playoffs. If the tournament was over now, he would be the bubble boy projected into 126th place.

Draft kings

  • DraftKings is offering $ 50,000 for first place and $ 150,000 guaranteed for fourth round.

Wyndham Championship Round 4 PGA DFS picks

Henely’s below average lap brought several golfers within striking distance today. That always makes for a fun showdown where placement points play an important role, especially on the property side. Click here for the Onwersip projections of the Awersemo finals.

  • Adam Scott ($ 9,000) If you had the privilege of seeing Scott live on the PGA Tour this morning and the subsequent tantrums of Nate Lashley, then his outstanding play is no surprise. Scott is playing on a limited schedule this year and it takes a long week to qualify for the FedEx Cup. He looked good all over his pocket for the first three rounds and accumulated strokes in all four categories. His best was his approaches, which gained over 4.5 in the three days.
  • Si Woo Kim ($ 8,900) Kim was quick to forget about his Olympic disappointment and looks good everywhere except off the tee. Difficulty finding fairways and placing them in terrible places. It made Si Woo really lean on the rest of his bag. But if that fixes up overnight and he can still find a few fairways tomorrow, there should be confidence to run in the other areas and give yourself a chance at a top 5.
  • Brendon Todd ($ 7,500) Brendon has been quiet for a while and has missed the cut in four of his last five appearances. His last top 10 was back at the Charles Schwab Challenge, where putting dominated the day. Incredibly, Todd lost over a shot and a half on the putter in the first three days, but gained over 4.5 on his approaches. It finds a lot of fairways, just under 77%, and is just too good a putter to stay down. It’s great value for money and is within earshot of the top 10 to start the day.

Sneaky pick for the Wyndham Championship Round 4 Showdown

  • CT Cup ($ 7,000) The bronze medalist from Taiwan is right in the FedEx Cup bubble this week but has shown he can play under pressure. A bogey-free 66 on Saturday is in a comfortable position to play freely and climb the leaderboard without taking much risk.
