The Twin Warriors Golf Club will host the Women’s PGA Cup, an international competition for PGA club professionals for women from October 24-29, 2022, the PGA of America announced on Friday.
The Twin Warriors Golf Club designed by Gary Panks is located in the Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo.
The Women’s PGA Cup is not played for prize money; Rather, the teams vie for the honor and the honor of winning the trophy.
The US team won the first Women’s PGA Cup with four strokes at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa / Foothills Course in Austin, Texas in October 2019.
The inaugural Women’s PGA Cup drew teams of five from Australia, Canada, Great Britain and Ireland, Sweden and the USA
Each national team consists of five players and a captain. Every country has the option of having its captain compete. Each team’s lowest three results are counted after each round, and the winning country has the lowest total of 54 holes.
Twin Warriors has a history of hosting the PGA of America and a variety of notable events and tournaments, including the PGA Professional Championship in 2003 and 2009.
“We are honored to host the Women’s PGA Cup at Twin Warriors Golf Club next October,” said Derek Gutierrez, PGA General Manager / Director of Golf at Santa Ana Golf Club, Inc. “As two-time hosts of the PGA Professional Championship, we are confident that Twin Warriors will offer the same demanding golf test to female PGA professionals who represent their countries in this international competition. The combination of the Women’s Cup 2022 with the historic Santa Ana Pueblo and Twin Warriors Golf Club is sure to create tension, drama and story. “
