The PGA Hope Tour veterans tee off at Morris County Golf Club on Thursday.
PGA Project Hope works to help veterans cope with problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder caused by golf.
Four finalists fought for the top spot.
“Being with veterans is a very unique circle, there is a lot of camaraderie, a lot of communication, a lot of talk. Many of us seek therapists and many of us seek therapy and we have wives or girlfriends to try and talk about, but it is not as true as when you are talking to a veteran, another person who is there said Jared Forest, manager of the PGA Hope Foundation.
The organizers want to make the Hope Tour an annual event.
